Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am completing my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Arizona Global Campus. During my last 15 years in the Army, I worked on addressing inequality, discrimination, and diversity. Additionally, I facilitated training and awareness on how people’s differences can influence and impact our work environment. My work experience and training I received in the military on resiliency, medication, and equality, combined with what I have learned through my sociology education, allows me to adapt quickly to situations and address issues or concerns that can cause conflicts in the workplace. As an Equal Employment Opportunity Advisor, I am motivated to assist in increasing job performance and productivity by building a cohesive work environment and facilitating training and education in conflict resolution and awareness of diversity and equality in the workplace. Along with reviewing and updating any policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure they are up to date with local and federal laws and procedures pertaining to equality in the workplace. I will be a great asset to the organization with my knowledge and experience in conflict resolution and training and awareness activities to promote and create a positive work environment. My undergraduate education also adds to my professional development to gain further understanding regarding communicating with individuals of different ethnic, gender, cultural, and social backgrounds to cultivate relationships between colleges. My goal is to develop a positive, healthy work environment
