Use your reading notes, investigate and further analyze an area (an -ism) that is of great interest to you. Consider how oppression and “isms” are functioning as a system in the community, state and nation as a whole. This is a basis of your understanding of these concepts.
Please include the following items in this essay –
1. Highlight ACADEMIC VOCABULARY words used in this essay;
2. Underline your thesis statement (last sentence at the end of your introduction);
Use at least 5 vocabulary words from the Academic Word List File
Refer to at least two (2) other authors/articles in your Course Reader – in providing substantial support for your thesis statement.

You may incorporate other examples from your own experience, but remember to keep your essay in the 3rd person perspective.

Think about the Ã¢â‚¬Å“messageÃ¢â‚¬Â you are trying to give the reader (in your thesis statement).
How are you going to close your essay? Consider summarizing your key points, making a prediction of the future, and/or asking the reader to consider a question – – – in your conclusion.
This essay should be an ANALYSIS of these authors/speakers.
This essay should be 3-4 pages long, and additionally, include a Works Cited page.
